1. Purpose and Scope of Service
SoCool Chef organises bespoke private dining experiences in villas, yachts, private homes, and events. We work with professional chefs and service teams under the highest standards of quality, food safety, and hospitality. These Terms govern the relationship between the Client and SoCool Chef throughout the request, booking, and execution of the service.

2. Definitions

  • PAX: the confirmed number of guests.
  • Overtime: additional working hours beyond those included in the booking.
  • Wedding / Event: a service provided for a wedding or private/corporate event, subject to the payment terms in Clause 4.

3. Booking Process (Step by Step)

    1. The Client provides the date, location, PAX, allergies/intolerances, preferred cuisine style, and the fiscal/billing details required to issue the invoice (full name or company name, tax ID/NIF, and billing address).
    2. SoCool Chef issues a quotation detailing services, staff, and optional extras.
    3. The Client secures the date by making the corresponding payment (see Clause 4).
    4. Proof of payment must be sent to info@socoolchef.com.
    5. SoCool Chef confirms the booking and coordinates logistics.

4. Confirmation, Payment, and Invoice

  • Private Chef services: the date is confirmed only once 100% of the approved quotation has been paid.
  • Weddings & Events: a 50% deposit of the total quotation is required at the time of booking; the remaining 50% must be paid no later than 15 days before the event. The date is provisionally blocked upon receipt of the deposit and is only fully guaranteed once both payments are received.
  • Proof of payment must be sent to info@socoolchef.com. Prices are quoted in euros and include applicable taxes.

5. Changes in Scope (PAX, Schedule, Extras)
Changes to guest count must be confirmed at least 5 days before the event by email. Adjustments to schedule, menu, or extras are subject to availability and may affect the final price. Last-minute changes may not be possible.

6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations are subject to the following fees, calculated on the total quotation:

  • More than 1 month before the event: 30% fee.
  • Between 1 month and 7 days before: 50% fee.
  • Between 7 days and 72 hours before: 70% fee.
  • Less than 72 hours before, or no-show: no refund.

Refunds, where applicable, are issued to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Service Delivery (Duration, Schedule, and Logistics)

  • Standard service: 6 total hours (1 hour preparation + 5 hours on-site).
  • Overtime: €65 per hour, per chef.
  • The 5 on-site hours begin exactly two hours after the agreed start time.
  • Our team will clean up and remove waste at the end of the service.
  • Any extension of the event must be communicated to the Maître on-site.

8. Food Safety, Allergies, and Facilities
We follow strict hygiene standards. All allergies and intolerances must be communicated in writing prior to the event. The Client is responsible for providing access, water, and electricity at the venue. Additional costs (parking, stairs, equipment rental, etc.) are billed separately.

9. Dispute Resolution
Any issue arising during the service should first be raised with the Chef or Maître on-site. If unresolved, the Client must email info@socoolchef.com within 24 hours, including supporting evidence. SoCool Chef will review the matter and work towards a fair resolution.

10. Client Responsibilities
The Client must provide accurate information, proper venue access, and adequate working conditions, and must inform guests of any allergies. The Client is responsible for damages caused by guests or third parties under their charge.

11. SoCool Chef Responsibilities
SoCool Chef will deliver the service to the approved standard and is responsible for any damages caused by its own team.
