Terms and conditions for clients
SoCool Chef
Thank you for choosing SoCool Chef. Our goal is to ensure you enjoy a flawless experience. To achieve this, we operate under clear and transparent rules. By confirming a booking, you agree to these Terms.
1. Purpose and Scope of Service
SoCool Chef organises bespoke private dining experiences in villas, yachts, private homes, and events. We work with professional chefs and service teams under the highest standards of quality, food safety, and hospitality. These Terms govern the relationship between you (the Client) and SoCool Chef during the request, booking, and execution of the service.
2. Definitions
- Client: the person who requests and contracts the service.
- Chef / Team: professionals who execute the gastronomic experience.
- Booking: a confirmed service after full payment of the approved quotation.
- PAX: the confirmed number of guests.
- Overtime: additional working hours beyond those included in the booking.
- Single event: a service provided on one day or shift only.
3. Booking Process (Step by Step)
- You provide us with the date, location, PAX, allergies/intolerances, and preferred cuisine style.
- We send you a quotation including all details and optional extras.
- To secure the date, full payment is required.
- Once payment is made, send proof to info@socoolchef.com.
- We confirm and coordinate logistics.
4. Confirmation, Payment, and Invoice
The date is confirmed only after full payment. Send proof to info@socoolchef.com. Prices are in euros and include applicable taxes.
5. Changes in Scope (PAX, Schedule, Extras)
Changes in guest count must be confirmed at least 5 days before the event via email. Adjustments to schedule, menu, or extras are subject to availability and may affect the price. Last-minute changes may not be possible.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
After booking: 30% fee. 1 month to 7 days before: 50% fee. 7 days to 72 hours before: 70% fee. Less than 72 hours or no-show: no refund. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.
7. Service Delivery (Duration, Schedule, and Logistics)
- Standard service: 6 total hours (1 hour prep + 5 on-site).
- Overtime: €65 per hour per chef.
- The 5 hours on-site start exactly two hours after the agreed start time.
- Our team will clean up and remove waste.
- Inform the Maître if the event extends.
8. Food Safety, Allergies, and Facilities
We follow strict hygiene standards. Allergies must be communicated in writing. The Client ensures access, water, and electricity. Additional costs (parking, stairs, rentals) are billed separately.
9. Dispute Resolution
If an issue arises, speak with the Chef or Maître during service. If unresolved, email info@socoolchef.com within 24h with evidence. We review, mediate, and aim for a fair resolution.
10. Client Responsibilities
Provide accurate information, proper access, and working conditions. Inform guests of allergies. Be responsible for damages caused by third parties.
11. SoCool Chef Responsibilities
Deliver services to the approved standard and cover any damages caused by our team.
12. Liability and Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or impossibilities due to force majeure (weather, power cuts, restrictions).
These Terms do not affect your legal consumer rights under Spanish or EU law.
13. Intellectual Property and Image Use
Menus, recipes, and materials are protected by intellectual property rights. Photos/videos used only with client consent.
14. Privacy and Confidentiality (GDPR)
We process data per GDPR. Data used only for booking, invoicing, and post-service. Contact info@socoolchef.com to exercise data rights.
15. Reviews and Conduct
Clients may leave reviews. Feedback must be respectful. We may refuse future services in case of
abuse or serious breaches.
16. Updates to the Terms
We may update these Terms. The current version applies to all new bookings.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Spanish law applies. Jurisdiction: Client’s domicile in Spain. The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform is available.
